Nissha Acquires Sequel Special Products

Boston, Massachusetts – July 20, 2018 – Alira Health is pleased to announce its role as exclusive financial advisor to Sequel Special Products LLC in the sale to Nissha Co. Ltd.

Nissha Co. Ltd. acquired Sequel Special Products, LLC to expand its Medical Technologies segment. Sequel Special Products engages in contract manufacturing of medical devices, and its affiliated company, RSS Design, LLC, engages in the development and design of medical devices. The acquisition took place on June 25, 2018, through Graphic Controls Group, a Nissha subsidiary.

This acquisition will provide the Medical Technologies segment with new sales channels in contract manufacturing, increased production capacity, and expanded product development and design functions to improve its value chain from development to production to sales.

In 2016, Nissha introduced the Medical Technologies segment and achieved full-scale entry into the medical devices market with the acquisition of a subsidiary of U.S.-based medical devices manufacturer, Graphic Controls Group. Current offerings focus on medical electrodes, medical surgical devices, and other products for cardiology, which have strong synergies with Nissha’s core technologies of “Patterning”, “Coating”, “Lamination”, and “Molding”. Nissha provides these global contract manufacturing services for major medical device manufacturers and produces and distributes as a proprietary brand for hospitals.
